How to Draw a Frog Cute and Easy Step by Step
Learning how to draw a cute frog is easy and fun. These little guys are just so adorable.
Starting with basic shapes and guidelines makes things much easier, and less intimidating.
We want to get the size, proportions, and position of our frogs laid out. Draw an oval for the head and body. And then add some lines where the legs will go.
The size of the head was exaggerated because big heads and eyes make things look cuter.
Next, draw a curved line for the bridge of the nose.
Now draw the top of the cheeks using your oval as a guide.
Then draw the shape of the eyes. There are many different options for drawing the eyes. I drew mine larger than what would be normal.
Add the pupils for the eyes and the highlights. You could also add the highlights later with a white pen.
Draw the Mouth
Now we need to draw the mouth. Start with the corners by drawing a couple of curved lines inside the cheek area.
Then draw the top of the mouth with a curved line that goes from corner to corner.
Finish the shape of the mouth by drawing another curved line for the bottom. You can draw it from corner to corner again. Or, you can draw it just in the middle like this example.
Next, draw the tongue. This can be a simple M shape like I did here. Or you could make a long tongue coming out of the mouth like he’s about to catch some food.
Try out some different ideas and see what looks good.
Now, draw the chin at the bottom of the mouth.
And then draw both cheeks.
Let’s finish up drawing the frog’s head by adding lines around the top of the eyes.
And then connecting the eyes to complete the top of the head.
Cute Frog Drawing – Body
Now we need to draw the body. This can feel a bit intimidating, but it isn’t as difficult as it looks.
Start by drawing the top of the left leg, and the far side of his body.
Then curve the bottom part of the leg around.
Next, draw the rest of the leg and add the toes.
Repeat this process for the lower leg on the right side.
Finish up your cute frog drawing by adding the front legs.
See, learning how to draw a cute frog is easy and fun. Isn’t he adorable?
Frog Outline
Outline your frog drawing with a black pen or marker. Or, you could use another color if you’d prefer.
When making your frog outline you can use thin lines or thick lines. You could also use a combination of the two and vary your line weight.
How you do your frog outline will depend mostly on your artistic style. If you’re not sure what your style is, don’t worry. Your artistic style will develop with practice and time.
Have fun, experiment, and try new things. Working small is a great way to give yourself some freedom to explore your ideas.

How to Draw a Cute Frog with Markers
Learning how to draw a cute frog with markers is really quite easy. And you only need to follow a few simple guidelines.
If you want to be able to blend your colors together you need to make sure you’re using alcohol based markers. Bic, Copic, and Sharpie are all alcohol markers.
Second, you need to work while the markers are still wet. If they dry they won’t blend together.
The third thing is that you need to use colors that are similar to each other. If your colors are too different you’ll get a hard edge instead of a smooth transition of colors.
We have an entire tutorial on How to Use Markers.
Most of this cute frog drawing is green, and two markers were used. One is a yellow-green, and the other is a medium green.
For the tongue a light pink and medium pink were used.
Highlights can be added with a white Gelly Roll pen.
To finish up your cute frog drawing you can add a background or simply add some color around the edge of your froggie.
